One photograph. The whole household, painted into Christmas. Three previews come back free.

Your family, on a cover of its own.

Send the kids in their pyjamas, the grandparents, the dog with the ribbon. Forty-eight Christmases come back, from Currier & Ives to antlers on the dog, and the faces stay yours. You choose the one that hangs.

Free previews · a print from $35 · the file from $14

Tradition

Currier & Ives with your own sleigh in it. Nast’s wood engraving with your own hearth. The whole village out on the skating pond, and your family at the centre of it.

Storybook

The stop-motion special with your house on the felt hillside. The pop-up card with you standing in it. The night train stopped in the snow, and everyone on the platform is yours.

Silly

The 1980s mall studio with the laser backdrop. Matching pyjamas with one person refusing to smile. The toboggan leaving the hill. The face stays exact; the situation does not.

One family, three shelves

Every photograph is painted three times, and every painting is judged for likeness before you see it. Keep the one you love, or none of them.

A family of artists

We are a family of artists, and some of us have been creating for seventy years. The Christmas art we kept being sent was one look with the colours swapped, and nearly all of the AI art we see doesn’t inspire us. So the three shelves here are painted from the traditions themselves — Currier & Ives and Nast, the Nutcracker stage and cathedral glass, the picture book and the stop-motion special, the mall studio and the snowball fight — and none of the three would recognise the others.

What we keep is you. The faces, the coats, the dog and the front of your house are held exactly as you sent them, and a judge scores every painting for likeness before you see it. We paint children here: a parent or guardian signs for every photograph with a child in it, every painting with a child is looked at twice before it is shown, and once more, by a person, before it is printed.

If we are successful, the oil paintings we create in our studio can hang in our own homes and don’t need to be advertised to support our family. We hope one of these is the one that hangs over your mantel for the next thirty Christmases.

How it reaches your wall

  1. Send one photograph

Everyone in one frame, front-on and well lit. Adults, children, animals and the house.

  2. Pick a shelf, pick a tradition

Forty-eight to choose from. Three previews come back free, watermarked.

  3. Hang it, wear it, send it

Archival prints, canvas, sweatshirts, mugs and totes — shipped tracked, in time.

Paint yours this Christmas

Three paintings come back from one photograph, watermarked, and nothing is owed until you approve one. Hang it, wear it, mail it to the cousins. We look forward to seeing what you and your best friends paint this Christmas.
